About the Foundation Courses
The course is roughly 50% practical (asana, pranayama, meditation) and 50% theoretical. There is no compulsory homework, although further study for your own interest is advised and supported, and there is no test or exam! The aim is to broaden your own knowledge and experience of yoga and to consider in which areas you may like to develop your own practice in the future.

Set Books
The two set texts for this course are ‘The Heart of Yoga’ by TKV Desikachar and ‘The Hathayogapradipika’ Bihar edition. Both books are available from Yoga Junction on the first day of your course and there is no need to read them in advance of the course! Course content

The Teachers
There is one main tutor for the course and quite often a collection of guest teachers who drop-in and teach their particular specialist subject. Please check in advance who the main tutor is, as it will vary from course to course.

Yoga Junction
Yoga Junction has two warm, light studio spaces fully equipped for yoga. We aim to provide the best possible learning environment for students with a broad range of regular classes to choose from. We are different from many other yoga centres in that Yoga Junction is owned and run by yoga teachers. A large part of our work is training teachers and providing existing teachers and established students with inspiring courses at a more advanced level.

Getting to Yoga Junction
We are about 1 minute walk away from Finsbury Park tube/mainline station. On your way out of the Station take the exit marked ‘Wells Terrace, buses to Muswell Hill and Crouch End’. Turn left into Wells terrace. Yoga Junction studio space is in the City North trading estate which is at the corner of Fonthill Road and Wells Terrace. As you walk up the drive you will see a long building with a wavy roof and coloured glass panels in the windows to your right. Yoga Junction is the last unit in the building. We don’t have on site parking.

Application procedure
Please ring to check if there is a place available on the course of your choice first. We will send you details of the course, a course syllabus, and an application form. If you want to go ahead with the course you can send an initial non-refundable deposit of £100 to secure your place with the full fees payable 1 month before the start date.
