CoursesBelow are listed the different courses which we run on a fairly regular basis. To book on a course you need to pay in advance. Courses are usually full, so booking early is advisable. Yoga beginners course
Come and learn yoga in a safe and supportive environment. This course will give you an understanding of how to perform yoga postures in a safe way while focusing on developing precision, alignment, strength and flexibility. The method is safe, orderly, and progressive, and the postures are adjusted to meet the conditions and needs of each student. It is suitable for all ages and abilities. Tessa has been practising yoga for over 25 years and has been teaching yoga for 15 years. She is trained and qualified in the Iyengar method and continues to study in India with the Iyengar family as well as with senior teachers in Australia and the UK. Tessa has been teaching at Yoga Junction for the last 9 years. Fridays 11.45 – 1pm 10 September – 22 October 7 weeks £65 (max 12 people)
Astanga vinyasa yoga beginners coursesThese courses are suitable for either total beginners to yoga, or beginners to astanga yoga specifically. On the course you will learn the specific breathing technique involved in the practice, a safe and detailed look at the sun-salutations, which form the basis of the sequence, and a certain number of standing postures, which we will look at in detail. The practice of astanga yoga is potentially very strong and energetic, but should always be practised in a safe, controlled way, and these beginners courses are intended to give you a good solid foundation to take it further if you wish. Even if you are quite experienced in other forms of yoga, if you intend to start practising astanga, we would advise you to begin with a beginners course. Course details

Baby Massagewith Anna Wise Massage is a wonderful way of communicating with a baby, strengthening the bond between parent and child. Learning baby massage can give parents increased confidence in handling their babies and better understanding of their baby's non-verbal communication. Massage enhances a baby's feeling of being loved and respected, as well as improving body/mind awareness, co-ordination and brain development. The course will run for 5 weeks and each week we will cover a different part of the massage sequence, building up to a full massage in week 5. Course detailsMondays 3.00 - 4.15pm 5 week courses - £55 Course 1 - September 13, 20, 27, October 4, 11. Course 2 - November 1, 8, 15, 22, 29. Price includes a booklet and oils. Please bring a towel.
Iyengar level 2 classesTessa Bull teaches on-going level 2 Iyengar yoga classes on Tuesday evenings at 7.30-9.00pm. These are classes for students already familiar with Iyengar yoga and who wish their practice to be challenged and developed by a very experienced teacher. The classes will take the form of blocks of mainly 6 weeks at a time which need to be booked in advance. Please call for dates and prices.
